Department of Veterinary Gynaecology and Obstetrics

The department started functioning since 1962 and since then besides offering undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the discipline of veterinary gynaecology & obstetrics, catering the services to the farming community and pet owners pertaining to animal reproduction, gynaecology and obstetrics. Services including Artificial insemination & pregnancy diagnosis in cattle & dogs, diagnosis & treatment of various infertility conditions in livestock & companion animals, genital surgeries (including caesarean section) of farm and pet animals have been provided by the department. Extension activities include participating as gynaecology specialists in infertility camps, resource persons in many training programmes, TV/Radio talks, seminars etc.

Services Offered:
