Overview

The Engineering that has been applied directly or indirectly to fisheries may be called as Fishery Engineering. That means Fishery Engineering is nothing but the Engineering that has applied to fisheries activities in general. This may involve the various specialised fields of Engineering such as civil, mechanical, electrical, electronics, computer, chemical engineering etc. In addition, the techniques of naval architect, fishing, seamanship and navigation also forms the part of Fishery Engineering subjects. It is considered to be one of the major supprting department in fishing industry.
