VETERINARY MEDICINE

Department of Veterinary Medicine is one of the major clinical departments in the B.V.Sc & A.H course curriculum. The department is involved in diagnosis and treatment of various and diseases and disorders of livestock and pet animals at Veterinary College Hospital, Shivamogga and adopted village as a part of ambulatory clinical service. The department is also involved in advance diagnosis in different species of animals, epidemiological investigation of various diseases of domestic animals. The department is giving technical assistance to the wildlife division, Shivamogga at Sakrebailu Elephant Camp and Lion Safari, Tavarekoppa. The department is regularly organizing animal health camps, training programmes and other extension activities for the benefit of farmers.
