VETERINARY AND ANIMAL HUSBANDRY EXTENSION EDUCATION

As per the MSVE- 2008 and MSVE-2016, the department is well established to cater the needs of B.V.Sc and A.H Students to produce quality Veterinary graduates. The Post graduate programme in Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Extension Education has started from 2015-16. The department is having a facility of well equipped AV technology laboratory, Group discussion room, Museum, Conference Hall, PG laboratory, etc. The department is also having departmental library with a good collection of Books, Journals and Reports of Extension Education and Rural development. The department has implemented world bank funded SUJALA III project on Livestock Support and Extension Activities in Davanagere district. The department is regularly organizing Training programmes /Demonstrations/ Health camps/Workshops/Livestock shows and other extension activities for the benefit of middle level extension functionaries and farmers as per the felt needs. The department is also involved in educating livestock rearers through mass and print media.
