Others Achievements
  • Dr. NSK secured ICAR-JRF in VPH for M.V.Sc. (2003-2005) and SRF in DBT project for Ph.D. (2005-2008) at G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar. He qualified in ICMR-JRF (2005), CSIR-NET (Life Sciences, 2006) and ARSB-NET (VPH in 2007 & Veterinary Microbiology in 2008) examinations. For his doctoral research, was awarded Young Scientist by the Indian Society for Veterinary Immunology and Biotechnology (ISVIB, 2008). He is the recipient Prof. Mahendra Pal Zoonoses Award (2015) and several best post awards in conferences and symposia. He attended 57th International Congress of Meat Science and Technology (ICoMST) at Ghent, Belgium (2011) supported by the DST. Previously, he worked as Assistant Professor of VPH at KNP Veterinary College, Shirval and Bombay Veterinary College, Mumbai of MAFSU-Nagpur. He has experience of NABL accreditation (Quality Manager), handled national pesticide monitoring project and was associated with AIRCP, ICAR outreach and other applied projects. He served as Member secretary of IBSC. He has published 76 research articles in scientific journals and authored book entitled ‘DNA based identification of animal species’ (2012). He renders reviewer and editorial services for peer reviewed journals of national and international repute. He is Member of Executive Council of Indian Association of Veterinary Public Health Specialists.
