- Best Presentation Award for the presentation on ‘Strategies for drought proofing dry land livestock farming.’ In 7th IVEF National Conference on Shaping Livestock Extension Advisory Services for doubling Farmer’s organized at Veterinary College, Shivamogga from 29th to 31st January, 2018.
- Best Paper Award for the paper on ‘Shivapura village farmers successfully tide over fodder scarcity by adopting silage making using silo bags’. In Karnataka Veterinary Association State Level Technical Seminar organized at GKVK, Bengaluru from 20th to 21st July, 2019.

Others Achievements |
Dr. Manjunatha, L., obtained B.V.Sc. from Bangalore Veterinary College, UAS, Bangalore (1996), M.V.Sc. (Veterinary Extension) from College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, KAU, Kerala (1998) and Ph.D. from IVRI, Izatnagar (2004). He was awarded ICAR SRF for his Ph.D. programme. He worked for a NGO - Initiative for Development Foundation (idf) - at Bangalore and in his capacity as Associate Project Co-ordinator in the World Bank funded Project - Promotion of Income generation Activities (IGAs) in Sujala Watershed Areas- he was instrumental in planning, organizing, implementation and monitoring of various training programmes for the field functionaries and rural and urban Women Self Help Groups (SHGs) involved in IGAs.
He has served in Dept. of AH & VS for about a year and later joined as faculty of KVAFSU in 2007. He was instrumental in developing the Dept. of Extension at Shivamogga (2007-2011) and Hassan (2011 till date). He is engaged in undergraduate teaching, extension and research activities of the College. He has organized co-ordinated more than 100 training programmes on and off the campus. Promotion of livestock based livelihoods, farm journalism, evaluation and impact studies, training, etc, are his areas of expertise. |
