VETERINARY GYNAECOLOGY AND OBSTETRICS

The Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics has well equipped laboratories, OT for genital surgeries. Consequently the department is able to provide quality gynecological, obstetrical and genital surgical services in livestock and pet animals of Hassan and neighbouring districts. The faculty provides extension service and education to farmers through publications and animal health camps, continuing education to fellow veterinarians through training, seminars and interactive sessions.

Various services provided by the department include artificial insemination, pregnancy diagnosis, obstetrical intervention, obstetrical and genital surgeries, infertility investigation, ultrasound examinations for various conditions. For canines it provides clinical services for mating management including vaginal exfoliative cytology, artificial insemination, assisted mating, pregnancy diagnosis, assisted parturition, and infertility investigation, ultrasonographic examination of various conditions, birth control procedures and obstetrical and genital surgeries.
