Other achievement |
Prof. M. Narayana Swamy has been involved in teaching undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral students in his long service of 33 years. He has served as Major Advisor for 17 M. V. Sc. and 07 Ph. D students. As a member of Advisory Committee, guidance was given to 68 Masters and 21 Doctoral scholars. Completed two university funded research projects. Served as Co-Principal investigator of FIST programme.
He has published a total of 272 scientific publications, which includes 102 research articles, 65 Abstracts, 18 General Scientific Article, 80 popular articles and 07 books.
The five books published by Prof. M.Narayana Swamy in Kannada are 1) ‘Jaanuvaaru’ (livestock) by Kannada Pustaka Pradhikara, Government of Karnataka, 2). ‘Tenemareya Kranthi Ragi Lakshmanaiah’ (the collection of articles written by 24 writers on renowned Ragi breeder Dr. C. H. Lakshmanaiah who developed high yielding INDAF Ragi varieties), 3). ‘Pashuvaidya Sampada’ (the collection of extension articles on Veterinary Science, Animal Husbandry and General Science published by him and co-authors in leading daily Kannada news paper such as Prajavani and other periodicals), 4). ‘Nimage Neeve Belakaagi’ and 5). ‘Mahanadiya Ugama’. He has delivered 16 Radio Talks for the benefit of farming community.
