Department of Veterinary Physiology and Biochemistry

Department of Veterinary Anatomy is one of the preclinical subject in BVSc & AH course curriculum.  As per VCI (MSVE 2008) the courses VAN 111(1+2) i.e. Ostology, Arthrology and Biomechanics and VAN 121(2+2) i.e. Myology, Angiology, Neurology and Aesthesiology are offered for I B.V.Sc. & A.H. The courses like VAN 211 (2+2), Histology and Embryology and VAN 221 (1+1), Splanchnology and Applied Anatomy are offered for II B.V.Sc. & A.H. students. The department has all basic equipments required for conducting undergraduate practical as prescribed by MSVE 2008. The department is supported with major instruments like semiautomatic microtome, trinocular research microscope with CCTV camera, stereozoom microscopes etc. for the staff research purpose. One ongoing KVAFSU funded research project entitled “Gross Anatomy of bones of mudhol hound dog breed.” is under progress. The Department is also involved in various extension activities conducted both at College and University level.
